From now on training rooms are available in–game, widening the testing options for our noble pilots. Testers can create combat arenas with certain parameters; what is more, players can adjust the battle duration and team list at their own discretion.

The 0.2.4 update released in April implemented the following features:

- 10 new birds: I-15 (tier 2), F2F (tier 2), I-16 type 24 (tier 4), F4F (tier 4), IL-2 (tier 5), F2G (tier 7), IL-8 (tier 7), La-150 (tier 8), La-160 (tier 9), FJ-1 (tier 9). Moreover, the F2G and IL-8 will have bomb weaponry.
- Added hangar (instead of a mid-air view) for warplanes, with the option to zoom in and out.
Reworked and improved graphics:
- reworked texture smoothing
- modified and optimized explosion effects
- extended warplane effects
- improved the Pacific Ocean map
- introduced complex destructible objects on the El Halluf map

And that is just a small taste of upcoming features. World of Warplanes test pilots will be able to check out other impressive updates in–game: improved camera movement, optimized mouse controls, and diverse improvements to in–flight characteristics of warplanes (added the mechanics of the engine overheating, readjusted slide inclining, dive speed, and speed-height dependence). Furthermore, plane armoring has been improved along with the introduction of a repair option as a basis for the subsequent game economy model in development.

The VIP Open Beta will go live with numerous changes and improvements based on community feedback. The building mode will be expanded to include new features to empower map builders, such as the possibility to build several bricks at once or defy gravity with the sandbox Jetpack.
